Theeffectofdietswithgradedlevelsofcotton(CC)andsunflower(SF)seedcakesonthegrowthandfeedutilizationofNiletilapia,Oreochromisniloticuswasdetermined.Thefishweregrownforaperiodof90daysin15#8220;happas#8221;representing5treatmentsnamely;SF25CC10-10%Cand25%S;SF20CC15-15%Cand20%S;SF15CC20-20%Cand15%S;SF10CC25-25%Cand10%SandCTLwasacommercialfeedusedasthecontrol.Eachtreatmentwasreplicatedthreetimes.nbsp;The#8220;happas#8221;were1m3withameshsizeof1mm.Theywereplacedina1,450M2pondwithanaveragedepthof1meter.nbsp;nbsp;Thecontroldiethadasignificantlyhigherfinalweight,dailyweightgain(DWG),conditionfactor,andthemostefficientfoodconversionratio(FCR)andproteinutilizationefficiency(PER)thanthetestdiets.nbsp;Amongthetestdiets,SF15CC20hadthehighestabsolutevaluesforfinalweight,DWG,FCRandPERindicatingthatinclusionofupto15%ofsunflowerand20%ofcottonseedcakesalongsidetheingredientsusedinthisstudycouldbeusedforpondproductionofNiletilapia.
