In74weanedheifers[28HolsteinxCeb#250;(HC),14SimmentalxCeb#250;(SC),20Romosinuano(R)and12Ceb#250;(C)],weredeterminedtransitoryriseofprogesterone(ETP4),ageandweighttothepubertybaseduponprogesterone'slevels(EP4;PP4)anddurationofoestralcycle.ThegroupsC(77.78%)andR(61.11%)showabiggerincidenceinETP4thangroupsSC(53.85%)andHC(38.46%)whichapparentlyhasimprovedthematurationprocessofthereproductiveactivityintheformerones,whicharemoreefficient.TheDCEisonaverage18.84daysanddon'texistsignificantdifferencesbetweentheracialgroupsassessed.
