Annual variation in economics of small-scale dairy production and its effect on poverty indexes

Small-scalecampesinodairyproduction,besidescontributingtothenationalmilkproduction,representsaruraldevelopmentoption.Economicanalicespreviouslyfoundsthreetypesofcampesinofarms,subsistence,specialisedandmixed,thatanalysiswasmadeonayearlybasiswithoutconsideringvariationsalongtheyearandtheirrelationshipwithpovertyindices.nbsp;Resultsofthiscurrentworkindicatethatthemostdifficulttimeforfarmersisduringthedryseason(firstandlastquarteroftheyear).Givenfluctuationsinincome,thethreefarmergroupsfallatsomepointduringtheyearinsomedegreeofpoverty,beingmoresevereforthesubsistencegroup.Thebesttimeforthethreegroupsisinthethirdquarteroftheyear,beingbetterfortheSpecialisedgroup.
