：Objective To evaluate the ameliorate effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)fumigation on the sleep disorders of tumor elderly patients due to heart-spleen deficiency. Methods 〓Totally 60 elderly tumor patients with sleep disorders due to heart-spleen deficiency were selected and randomly divided into control group(n=30)and trial group(n=30). The control group was given sleep-related health education, while the trial group was added TCM fumigation based on this. Sleep quality was observed between two groups before and after intervention. Results 〓After intervention, significant differences were shown between trial group and control group with regard to the scores of sleep quality, time to fall asleep, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disturbance and daytime function as well as the total score of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI), and hypnotic agents were not used in trial group(P0.05). Conclusion 〓TCM fumigation has definite efficacy in ameliorating sleep disorders of elderly tumor patients due to heart-spleen deficiency, so it deserves to be promoted in clinic.
