：Objective To investigate the effect of Chinese herbal medicine pillow combined with auricular point seed-embedding on sleep quality of patients with an indwelling nasogastric tube. Methods 〓Totally 84 patients undergoing endoscopic therapy were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 42 cases in each group. After the endoscopic therapy, the auricular point seed-embedding was adopted in the control group, and a combined therapy of Chinese herbal medicine pillow and auricular point seed-embedding was carried out in the observation group. The safety of traditional Chinese medicine techniques was evaluated, and the sleep quality of patients was assessed by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI). Results 〓There was no allergic reaction or other adverse reactions in both two groups. Except of the factors of sleep latency and hypnotics dependence, the total PSQI score and scores of other factors in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after the intervention(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The combined therapy of Chinese herbal medicine pillow and auricular point seed-embedding can improve the quality of patients with an indwelling nasogastric tube.
