Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of compound dermitiseliminating cream in treatment of incontinenceassociated dermatitis (IAD). Methods A total of 61 IAD patients were assigned to the study group (n=31) and the control group (n=30) according to the occurrence order of IAD. The control group was given protective film (extra stoma protection power was applied to those with Ⅱ and Ⅲ degree of IAD) and the study group was given compound dermitiseliminating cream. The overall effective rate, recurrence rate, wound healing time and total cost were compared between two groups. Results The overall effective rate and recurrence rate was 96.8% and 3.2% in the study group, and was 73.3% and 26.7% in the control group, with a significant difference (P<0.05). The study group had a shorter wound healing time and lower cost compared with those of controls (P<0.01). Conclusion Compound dermitiseliminating cream is potentially effective in accelerating the wound healing of IAD patients.
