：Chronic prostatitis is a common disease affecting the quality of life and the state of health of young and middle-aged male patients. In recent years, there have been many clinical studies and reports on external application of Traditional Chinese medicine for chronic prostatitis. This paper reviewed studies on external treatment of TCM for chronic prostatitis, and some suggestions for future research in this field were put forward.
