Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of cluster strategies in clinical nursing teaching in the department of infectious medicine. Methods 〓A total of 66 nursing interns from the department of infectious diseases were selected and randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group(n=33)took the method of clinical teaching by cluster intervention strategies while the control group(n=33)took the traditional method in clinical teaching. The differences of teaching satisfaction, job competence and the scores of examination at the end of internship were compared between two groups. Results 〓In terms of clinical teaching evaluation, there were more nursing interns satisfied with teaching methods in entrance education, clinical practice and after-department examination in the experimental group compared with those in the control group(P0.05). Nursing interns achieved better improvement in communication, critical thinking, information processing and self presentation(P0.05). The scores of theory and practice test were higher in the experimental group than those of controls(90.67±5.37 vs. 82.79±2.80, 93.14±2.73 vs. 84.24±3.66, P0.01). Conclusion 〓Clinical teaching by cluster strategies may effectively develop the interest in leaning among nursing interns. It can comprehensive improve the interpersonal communication, critical thinking ability and the ability to process information.
