Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of moxibustion and acupoint injection in treatment of epigastric pain in a type of insufficiency-cold in spleen and stomach. Methods A total of 60 patients with epigastric pain in a type of insufficiency-cold in spleen and stomach were randomly divided into the observation group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. Both two groups received conventional medical treatment and nursing care, and the moxibustion combined with acupoint injection was carried out in the observation group. The clinical effect of treatment and changes in score of epigastric pain were compared between two groups. Results The symptom score of epigastric pain was decreased in both of two groups after two groups, and was lower in the observation group than that of control group, with a significant difference(P0.05). The overall effective was higher in the observation group than that in the control groups(P0.05). Conclusion Application of moxibustion and acupoint injection is potentially effective in alleviating epigastric pain. It is also required to carry out diet and emotional care to improve the rehabilitation of spleen and stomach function.
