：Objective To investigate the health education needs of healthy individuals examined by colonoscopy, in order to provide high-quality nursing service in the Health Examination Center. Methods 〓A questionnaire-based investigation was conducted to 200 healthy individuals examined by colonoscopy. Results 〓The health education on indications and contraindications of colonoscopy was the top-ranked need(99.50%), followed by psychosocial nursing(97.00%). Conclusion 〓There is a need for health education needs before colonoscopy. It is required to carry out nursing interventions on indications and contraindications of colonoscopy, in order to relieve the mental stress of healthy individuals examined by colonoscopy.
