Abstract:Objective To observe the curative effect of local oxygen therapy in treatment of neonatal skin damage. Methods 〓Totally 98 neonates with skin damage were selected and assigned to the study group and the control group, with 49 cases in each group. Both two groups received ointment on the damaged skin, and the local oxygen therapy was applied in the observation group additionally. The curative effect on would healing, healing time and adverse reactions of intervention were observed. Results 〓There was no significant t difference in curative effect on would healing between two groups(97.96% vs. 91.84%, P0.05 ). The healing time of the study group was significantly shorter than that of the control group(P0.05). There was 1 case of adverse reaction in the study group and 4 cases of adverse reactions in the control group. Conclusion 〓In addition to conventional ointment treatment, the local oxygen therapy is potentially effective to shorter the healing time of neonatal skin damage.
