Responses of European red mite populations to cyhexatin, an organotin miticide

Abstract Populations of European red mite from apple orchards in Hawke's Bay, Nelson, Canterbury, and Central Otago were sampled and tested in the laboratory for their response to cyhexatin, an organotin miticide. There was no significant difference between LC50 values for populations that had experienced applications of organotin miticides for up to 9 years and those that had been exposed to few or no sprays. There was no difference between responses of populations from the different localIties.
