:Objective To explore the effect of meridian stream timing acupoint massage on the rehabilitation of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). Methods Totally 79 patients with stable COPD were selected, and randomly divided into observation group(n=40)and control group(n=39). The control group was given traditional clinical follow-up, while the observation group was given timing acupoint massage, regular reexamination and phone follow-up. The rehabilitation condition was evaluated by BODE indexes 6 and 12 months after discharge, and readmission rates due to acute exacerbation were recorded. Results 〓Six and twelve months after discharge, the body mass index(BMI), the forced expiratory volume in one second percentage(FEV1%), 6-min walk test(6MWT), MMRC and BODE scores were superior, and the readmission rates due to acute exacerbation were obviously lower in observation group than those in control group 6 and 12 months after discharge(P0.05). Conclusion 〓Meridian stream timing acupoint massage can ameliorate the BODE indexes of patients with stable COPD, and decrease the readmission rates due to acute exacerbation.
