:Objective To evaluate the efficacy of whole-process diabetes health education guided by PDCA cycle in patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods 〓Totally 62 patients with diabetes mellitus were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 31 cases in each group. Patients in both two groups received routine care and health education during the treatment, and those in the observation group were given whole-process diabetes health education guided by PDCA cycle. The efficacy of interventions on blood glucose control was evaluated. Results 〓At six months after discharge from hospital, patients in the observation group achieved better outcomes in control of fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2h blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin compared with those in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The whole-process diabetes health education guided by PDCA cycle is effective to improve the blood glucose control in patients with diabetes mellitus.
