Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of subcutaneous injection of erythropoietin(EPO)at different angles of insertion on the degree of pain. Methods Totally 64 patients undergoing erythropoietin injection were randomly divided into the modified group and the control group, with 32 cases in each group. The control group adopted oblique insertion of acupuncture injection, and the modified group was given vertical injection method. The pain levels of the 2 groups were compared. Results The degree of pain in the modified group was lower than that in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion The modified vertical injection method can relieve the local pain in the patients receiving erythropoietin injection.
