Control of the cabbage aphid (Brevicoryne brassicae L.) with some systemic materials

Summary The control of the cabbage aphid on cruciferous seed-crops offers a special field for the aerial application of systemic materials. In an experiment using Ekatin, Megatox and Metasystox at 4 oz active material per acre, and Lebaycid, Metasystox and Rogor at 8 oz, results were tested by Duncan's test. Megatox, Metasystox (8 oz), Ekatin and Metasystox (4 oz), all gave satisfactory control, in that order of merit. Megatox, however, is not available for commercial use at present in New Zealand.
