The Novak Collection in the National and University Library in Zagreb

Dr. Drago Novak (1933a€“2011) was a prominent doctor of medicine and scientist, world traveller and global citizen, kind host and always a welcome guest, particularly known as a collector, admirer and connoisseur of old maps of Croatia. In addition, he was an admirer of fine art, a passionate seeker of books on cartography, history, art and a wide range of other scientific and popular areas. According to his will, his rich collection of maps, atlases and books in the field of cartography, also known as The Novak Collection, became a part of The Collection of Maps and Atlases of The National and University Library in Zagreb.
