Morphological studies of Dendrothele species from North America

The new species? Dendrothele? gilbertsonii , from southern Arizona, is distinct from? Dendrothele? incrustans? and? Dendrothele microspora? that also have globose to subglobose basidiospores.? Dendrothele? pachysterigmata , with 2–4 sterigmate basidia, is compared to? Dendrothele? commixta,? which has 2–3 sterigmate basidia. All five species are described and illustrated.
