The University of Iowa Diagnostic Laboratories (UIDL) receives and interprets approximately 1000 medical renal biopsies per year from neighboring states and international. Travel delays, accidents and misuse of transport media have led to questions of interpretation validity. We wanted explore the accuracy of electron microscopy (EM) and immunofluorescence (IF) findings across various time intervals and tissue preservation conditions.
