A quantitative neuroquantal approach to the unique physical characteristics of the human hippocampus and the parahippocampal gyrus is developed. The mass of the DNA within the defined range of neurons within the hippocampus is congruent with Planck’s mass and the radius of this singularity is Planck’s length. The Casimir energy for the synapse which is equivalent to the radius of neutral hydrogen, the convergence of power density at the level of the neuronal membrane and the universal boundary, and the identity between the quantum of energy lost by a bit of information and a completed sequence in the Papez pathway suggest the unique features of the human hippocampus may reveal the intrinsic nature of how we perceive the universe.NeuroQuantology | March 2013 | Volume 11 | Issue 1| Page 1-7
