Analysis showed that the Teflon coating for use as a layer between the membrane and the spindle is optimal and meets the requirements of this unit when operating in an acidic medium and high temperatures. In this paper we consider the problem of the danger of leakage, explosion and pollution at rupture of the membrane valves, poisoning attendants in manufacturing sulfuric acid alkylation. The analysis occurred in the past year showed a significant number of emergency situations involving leakage of sulfuric acid, which in some cases led to the affected people. Thus, the proposed method for eliminating leaks by applying a Teflon coating in place of clamping the membrane will eliminate the possibility of its destruction, which in turn will ensure the safe operation of process equipment in an aggressive environment and preserve the life and health of staff.
