The existence of public space and playgrounds was saved in 1970s and 1980s at housing estates made of big blocks. Although they were usually primitively equipped in comparison with the contemporary ones, they gave recreational opportunities for children at different ages who grew up in a housing estate community. Those playgrounds had specified norms and planning bases. Their realization by housing estates was the result of financial bases. Since 1990s green areas of the estates have been treated as areas for different purposes (shops, car parks, garages, concentration of building engineering). The current lack of public space is the result of this situation but in different ownership conditions. The pressure of developers on using the space only for financial purposes results in concentration of building engineering and treating the public function as useless.
