P?ler ut i m?rket: Om ?Uteksti? og kunsten i 1984

“Uteksti” was a group exhibition held in Oslo in 1984. Comprising 31 artists showing works over six weeks, the exhibit broke with supposed frameworks of form and content in Norwegian art at the time. This article discusses individual works through the lens of a wider cultural context, specifically concerning concepts like fragmentation, the postmodern and entropy. It argues that “Uteksti” points a way forward to major changes in Norwegian cultural values in the 1980s.
