Leafhoppers are one of the most important agriculturalinsect pests. Traditional morphological criterion for leafhoppersidentification depending on the presence of males only. So, Inter SimpleSequence Repeats (ISSRs) were used to find diagnostic markers forfingerprinting fifteen leafhoppers species collected from different medicinaland aromatic plants in Egypt. Seven ISSRs primers were successfully produced 72 bands those couldbe used to differentiate the fifteen different leafhopper species. Alsodifferent amplified bands with 65 diagnostic morphological characters were usedto determine the phylogenetic relationship among the differentspecies; that divided into two main clusters. ISSR-PCR technique could besuccessfully used withmorphological characters to fingerprint and identify these leafhopper speciesusing any life stage
