摘要

Laser surface treatment is a process of altering themetallurgical and mechanical properties of the materialsurface with laser irradiation. It is mostly used to producehard, wear-resistant regions on the workpiece while retain-ing the bulk material unaffected [1-3]. A defocused laserbeam is usually used to heat up the material surface aboveits austenitization temperature, allowing formation of aus-tenite.
