摘要

The electromechanical Coriolis mass flow sensorhas a tube through which a fluid to be measured flows issupported at one end or both ends thereof , and vibration isapplied to a portion of the tube around the supporting pointin a direction vertical to the flowing direction of the tube.The Coriolis mass flow sensor utilizes the fact that theCoriolis forces applied is referred to the flow tube whenvibration is thus applied thereto are proportional to a massflow rate [1]. Successful operating performance of massflow sensor depends on the selection of suitable designvariables and conditions [2]. Therefore it is important todetermine the operating design parameters at which theresponse reaches its optimum. The optimum could be ei-ther a maximum or a minimum of a function of the designparameters. One of the methodologies for obtaining theoptimum results is response surface methodology (RSM).Performance optimization requires many tests. However,the total number of experiments required can be reduceddepending on the experimental design technique. It is es-sential that an experimental design methodology is veryeconomical for extracting the maximum amount of com-plex information while saving significant experimentaltime, material used for analyses and personnel costs [3].
