One of major issues in the construction industry is waste and its possiblepreventions. There are ongoing efforts in other sectors for reduction ofwaste. However, the construction industry has a very traditional wayof working and new ideas of production have difficulties in penetratingexisting work processes. This is particularly due to the distinctive nature ofdesign and production relationships in comparison with other industries.Lean principles may play an important role for constructing the basefor waste minimization activities in construction. The concept of LeanProduction is based on elimination of waste as the main focus for processimprovement. Providing continuous and efficient information flow is itspivotal practice for advancement of supervision system. The adaptationof lean production philosophy for construction industry requires a specialeffort when compared to other production industries
