Aplasia cutis congenita in an infant of the initially twin gestation: a case report

Background: Aplasia cutis congenital (ACC) is a rare group of disorders characterized by the focal absence of the skin recognized at birth.Case Report: This report describes an infant of an initially twin gestation, born with scalp and truncal cutis aplasia.Conclusions: The etiology of ACC remains unknown. Treatment of the defects found in ACC is controversial and depends mainly on severity of lesions.
