A big hydram pump, may be biggest one in Bali, has been designed and constructed on communityservices activity, Iptek bagi Masyarakat (IbM), in year 2010. The pump works on a high geodetichead 90 meter with length of delivery pipe 900 meter. However, because of that high head conditionhas been made its delivery valve ease to broken. Therefore, it needs a solution to avoid thatproblem. One potential solution is by use membran type of delivery valve, which is this valve hasless impact area than plat valve type, therefore impulse force that takes placed is smaller as well.Furthermore, it needs to make design of plat and membran type of hydram pump delivery valve, andthen assess its performance. Both type of delivery valve are operated with 3 meters drive-head onvariation of delivery head i.e 10, 15 and 20 meters. Then, their performance are comparised. Theresults show that the membran type of delivery valve give better performance such as capacity,power, volumetric efficiency and total efficiency than the plat type.
