摘要

This work consists of a survey about the model Gross Theory for the Beta Decay, encompassing and linking the ideas and approaches presented by the authors of the original Gross Theoryparameters most current experimental mass defects and removing some approximations to thefunction Fermi. We performed a comparison of results calculated for a sample of 94 nuclei ofinterest in the Pre-supernova with the experimental data and with other models when available,to analyze the efficiency, advantages and disadvantages of the Gross Theory for astrophysicalapplications.
