摘要

Among others, the lignin is one of the components of sugarcane washing water for the production ofsugar and alcohol. Face to its randomized nature, however, ligninolytic enzymes are able to degradeother recalcitrant compounds (also aromatic). This work aimed to evaluate the ability of fungusisolated from the lagoons of decantation of the effluent treatment station (ETS) of the “S.A. UsinaCoruripe A?úcar e álcool”, season 2004/05, in degradate methylene blue dye how indicator of ligninperoxidases (LiP)production. For that, a growth medium added of 0,01% of Methylene Blue (MB =3,7-bis-dimethylamine-phenazothionium chloride) was used to evidence the production of LiP throughthe descolourization of this substratum, by the oxidation and, consequently demethylation of the dye.The decline of the absorbance of the filtered MB-cultures, the pH, conductivity and biomass (dryweight) were also evaluated. The MB showed itself to be a good marker for the production of LiP,allowing the screening of one fungus (Cladosporium sp.) that expressed that enzymatic activity in thestudied effluent.
