Current issues for rubber crosslinking and its future trends of green chemistry strategy

Crosslinking is an essential chemical process generallyapplied to rubbery or elastomeric materials. Itoccurs by forming cross-links between sections ofmacromolecules, resulting in a three-dimensionalmolecular network. Cross-linked rubber is endowedwith unique entropic elasticity which makes rubberto maintain its shape after large deformation.
