Focus on Emergency (Editorial)

摘要

Emergency Medicine is a growing reality all over the world. Differently from the past, there are now several researchers focused on emergency medicine topics, which sometimes differ from those of Internal Medicine as patients with acute illness usually require immediate medical attention and time of intervention and treatment is tipically reduced. The aim of the European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences is to contribute to the sharing of information on several aspects of medical and pharmacological sciences by encouraging interdisciplinary discussions. Interestingly, those characteristics fit perfectly with the needing of emergency medicine physicians. In fact, several papers on this topic have been submitted to this journal and accepeted for pubblication. This is the reason why the European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences has planned to dedicate a number called “Focus on Emergency”, which we believe may be useful to doctors working on this difficult but fascinating field.
