Reasoned opinion of EFSA: Modification of the existing MRLs for dimethoate in cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and lettuce

According to Article 6 of the Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the United Kingdom submitted anapplication on the modification of the MRLs for dimethoate in Brussels sprouts, cauliflower andlettuce. The modification is requested for the MRLs which, according to Regulation (EC) No1097/2009, will enter into force on 7 June 2010. A new MRL of 0.2 mg/kg for dimethoate is proposedin broccoli. The United Kingdom as the Evaluating Member State (EMS) drafted an Evaluation Reportaccording to Article 9 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 which was submitted to the EuropeanCommission and forwarded to EFSA on 31 July 2009. The United Kingdom proposes the MRL of 0.2mg/kg for dimethoate in lettuce, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts.
