摘要

The article presents issues related to the field of electrical disturbances and their complex implications, including the electrical security of gas facilities. There are also presented innovative insulating pipes connections designed to ensure the electrical separation of the distribution networks from the gas utilization facilities. By measuring the initial insulation resistance (with the measurement voltage of 5100V) and after accelerated aging by applying 1000 fast thermal cycles (approx. 2°C/min between –40°C and 100°C), the aging of the insulating connecters was evaluated. The experimental measurements indicated that the insulation resistance of the connecters under investigation is between 10 and 73GΩ, being over 10000 times higher than the values imposed by technical regulations for similar products (electrical insulating flanges and nipples). Changes (decreases) in insulation resistance recorded because of the applied thermal stresses were insignificant - between 3.9% and 0.1%. These findings indicate that the investigated pieces have a high thermal endurance and implicitly a high operation lifetime.
