Migration of the population and the resulting change in the structure of the Wroclaw community puts new challenges for libraries in the area of improving intercultural competences, creating conditions for building bonds between the inhabitants of Wroclaw and migrants living in Wroclaw. The article presents the experience of the Municipal Public Library in Wroclaw in working with foreigners and planned activities aimed at creating standards of work in a multinational and multicultural environment. The article is enriched with examples of working with readers in Norwegian libraries observed during a study visit.
