Computer simulation of a building’s environmental performance has been available as a technology for over 30 years, duringwhich time the accuracy, depth and speed of simulation have all signifcantly improved. However, it is arguable that the industry’suse of computer simulation has not kept up with the potential contribution this technology can make to the design and constructionof buildings.
