摘要

This study aimed to verify the use of methodologies of environmental impact assessment EIA studies in the former sewage treatment plant of Brejo Comprido in Palmas-TO, having as main objective the identification and qualitative and quantitative characterization of the main actions and environmental impacts. We identified six (06) shares through on-site visit and literature highlighting removal of vegetation in areas of permanent preservation; disposal of waste and demolished household waste; use of machines in the removal of equipment; release of odors; disrupting the dumping of waste on site. The following methods of environmental impact assessment were used: Checklist to identify the actions, process, environmental impacts and measures of which were distributed in magazines and physical, biotic and socioeconomic means, after the checklist was possible to use the matrix method interaction obtaining a more detailed characterization of the impacts of human activities. We conclude that the study area that this is the decommissioning phase of the sewage treatment plant, brought with it positive and negative impacts of the physical, biotic and socioeconomic environment therefore requires the implementation of measures to minimize possible negative impacts have been identified; Furthermore, the area where it was located the TEE is permanent preservation requires great care and responsibility of environmental agencies and community as whole.
