Middle managers selection for third-party logistics service providers

Since the selection of middle managersis critical to thedevelopment of organizations forthird-party logistics service providers (3PLs), how do the organizations of 3PLs select and recruit competent middle managers?The decision-making for middle managers selection poses a multi-criteria problem and faces a fuzzy environment. Hence, the aim of this paper is to develop a fuzzy multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) model, to select middle managers for 3PLs. At first, some concepts and methods used to develop a fuzzy MCDM model are introduced. Secondly, to effectively select middle managers for 3PLs, three steps of a fuzzy MCDM algorithm are proposed. Finally, a step-by-step numerical example is illustrated by using the proposed fuzzy MCDM approach. The illustrated example shows that the proposed method can successfully accomplish the study’s goal.
