摘要

This study aims at the development of a biometrically secured smart home in which the home appliances can be remotely controlled by voice using an android app and Bluetooth technology. The development of this concept aims at providing assistance, safety and security to elderly, children and disabled in home. It provides electrical safety and also the ease to access switches. In the proposed prototype, the biometric system has the provision of deleting existing entries and enrolling new fingerprints. The doors and the home automation circuitry can only be accessed by successful authentication of enrolled fingerprints. This ensures that only authorised person can have the access to the smart home. The appliances connected to the automation system can be switched ON or OFF by providing voice command using an android app installed in the Smartphone though Bluetooth technology. The whole system is developed on Arduino uno. Bluetooth module HC05 is used in automation system for Bluetooth communication and R305 fingerprint sensor is used in security system for scanning fingerprint. Relay, LED and solenoid lock are used as load to demonstrate the working of the prototype.
