In the recent years, radar systems have developed rapidly. Among developing radar systems,Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is also located. GPR systems are used quite effectively in civilianlife, military operations and commercial activities. This article contains one of the optimizationworks which is ensued in the antenna side which the most important part of GPR. In this way, abow tie antenna will be designed, simulated and fabricated. The fabricated antenna results agreewell with the simulation analysis.
