This work reports the results of using a Dynamic Hydrogen Electrode (DHE) as a reference electrodefor performance measurements in an Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) operated at hightemperature conditions and low relative humidity (T = 120 C y HR = 23 %). The performance ofPEMFC was measured by using a composite membrane (SBA6) and the results compared to thoseobtained with a commercial Nafion-115 membrane. The reference electrode was made using aplatinum black deposit on the platinum wire surface. The DHE was introduced in the PEMFC close tothe cathode electrode and it was stable under fuel cell operation. The kinetic parameters of anode andcathode reactions were estimated in a separated way.
