摘要

Biocompatible coatings of 揟ricalcium phosphate-Chitosan were deposited on 316L stainless steel(316L SS) substrates via electrodeposition. The aim of this work is determinate the electrochemicalbehavior of AISI 316L substrates by using 揟ricalcium phosphate-Chitosan as a protective coating.The coatings were characterized by Fourier Transformed Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR spectroscopy)that showed bands associated to 揟ricalcium phosphate (揟CP) and Chitosan (Ch). By usingelectrochemical impedance spectroscopy with (EIS) and Tafel curves it was possible to determinateelectrochemical behavior of 316L SS substrates coated with 揟CP-Ch in Hanks solution (HBSS).Dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were performed to analyzechemical changes and morphological surfaces changes on 揟CP-Ch coatings due to the reaction inHBSS/揟CP-Ch surface coatings interface. Electrochemical behavior in HBSS indicates the coatingsmay be a promising material for biomedical industry application for temporal invasive prosthesis.
