In this paper, tin sulfide-tin dioxide nanocomposites were synthesized by the pulsed-currentelectrochemical method on the surface of tin substrate in Na2S solution. To obtain uniformmorphology, narrowest size distribution, and the best composition of sample, the effects ofexperimental variables such as sodium sulfide concentration, types and concentration of synthesisadditives, pH, bath temperatures, pulse frequency, and pulse height (current amount) are investigatedand optimized. The prepared samples are characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. The optimized-2 conditions include 92 mA.cm current density, 13 Hz pulse frequency, 0.008 M sodium sulfide, pH12.5, and 25 C electrocrystallization temperature. In optimum conditions, uniform SnS-SnO2nanocomposite in orthothombic nanorod form with 30 nm average diameter and 200 nm averagelength are synthesized.
