Response to comments: Modification of intravenous cannula for arterial line insertion: Simple yet effective technique

We would like to convey our gratitude to the readersfor showing interest in our article.[1] We agree thatintravenous (i.v.) cannula should not be used forarterial cannulation due to risk of inadvertent arterialinjection. We proposed the use of intravenous cannulafor arterial cannulation in resource.limited settingswhich are not uncommon in our country.[2] To avoidaccidental intra.arterial injections, drug port shouldbe covered with surgical adhesive tape and labelledas arterial in bold letters [Figure 1]. This is routinelydone at our institute to prevent such complications.
