Message from the Organizing Committee

The 70th Annual National Conference of the Indian Psychiatric Society (ANCIPS 2018) is being organised at Ranchi, the capital city of the tribal heartland of Jharkhand. This is the second time ANCIPS is being held in Ranchi after a gap of more than 30 years.Jharkhand, the mineral rich land of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, is located in the eastern part of India bordering the states of Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa, and Chattisgarh. Tropic of Cancer passes through Kanke, just nearby the conference venue, making it the only state in India touched by Tropic of Cancer. Most of the Jharkhand region is part of Chotanagpur plateau, which also extends to some parts of West Bengal, Chattisgarh, and Orissa. This region is made up of the ancient stone Arkiyan Granite Tatanis.
