摘要

Conclusion: The Cortical atrophic patterns associated with high gait variability include the first regions to undergo pathological changes in Alzheimer’s disease and its prodromal phase of mild cognitive impairment. This study is in line with the results from a prospective cohort study that higher gait variability predicts future cognitive decline in elderly with normal cognition and suggest that gait variability can be an early marker of cognitive impairment.
