Willow Warbler Phylloscopus trochilus on the Courish Spit, Eastern Baltic: demographic parameters, breeding biology, and comparison of adaptations in the genus Phylloscopus

Researchers from the Biological Station Rybachy on the Courish Spit studied, among others, Willow Warblers for more than 40 years. In this paper, data on timing of migration and breeding, breeding density, mating patterns, breeding success, age structure of the population, survival and longevity are presented. Separate sections of this paper deal with the problems of sex determination, sex ratio, population dynamics, and comparative ecological analysis of three species of the genus Phylloscopus .
