Khurshid Alam is a disaster and climate changespecialist with experience in 25 countries in Asiaand Africa. He was Action Aid's Emergency PolicyAdvisor in London and later managed a six-countrytsunami response programme until becomingthe Managing Director of Think Ahead Limitedin 2006. He writes on humanitarian and climatechange issues. As a consultant, he has adviseddeveloping disaster risk reduction and climatechange adaptation strategies, policies and projectsfor governments in Malawi and Cambodia,bilateral and UN agencies, international NGOsand the Red Cross. An anthropologist bytraining, he currently lives in Dhaka.
