Despite the advent of the Republic in Yemen in the beginning of the 1960’s, which put an end to a long imamate characterized by the political primacy of Sada category, the zaydi political claim asserted in the context of 1990’s Unity. The zaydi parties mainly represented by al Haqq and the PFU, will try to conciliate their primary belonging with the process of republican modernisation.
